What it proves

Inequality can be produced through political-economic privilege and policy structures.

Draft — not reviewed

What it does not prove: Rs2.66tn is an estimate of the value of privileges accruing to elite groups, not cash that could be seized or revenue automatically recoverable if the privileges ended. The 8% share is against 2020-21 GDP, so after intervening inflation and nominal GDP growth neither the rupee figure nor the percentage can be quoted as current.

Memory hook: Rs2.66tn → eight rupees in every hundred of GDP, captured by privilege

Rebuts the claim: 'Pakistan's inequality is simply a by-product of poverty and slow growth' — this shows inequality is actively produced by policy and political-economic privilege.
