What it proves

Agriculture is not synonymous with crops; livestock dominates sector value added.

Draft — not reviewed

What it does not prove: This is a share of value added, not of land, water, subsidy or credit, so livestock's 62.45% dominance describes where output value sits, not where policy support goes. The share is also partly passive: with important crops growing only 0.65% in the same year, livestock's weight rises because the crop denominator is weak, not solely because herds are booming.

Memory hook: 62.45% → livestock, not wheat or cotton, is agriculture's real centre of gravity

Rebuts the claim: "Agricultural policy means crop policy — support prices for wheat and cotton are the sector's main lever" — that reaches barely a third of sectoral value added.
